From the center of Sauze d’Oulx we reach the entrance to the Gran Bosco di Salbertrand Natural Park. Flat and flowing sections in the woods alternate with climbs, some of which are quite demanding, up to Col Blegier, passing through the famous “Ferro di Cavallo” (Horseshoe). With a succession of descents, climbs and flat sections, we first reach the Colle di Costa Piana, then the Colle Bourget and finally the Col Basset.

A series of possibilities opens up at the Col Basset. Depending on the technical skills of the participants, we could choose among:

  • a comfortable descent to Sportinia, following the Strada dell’Assietta. Here diferent alternatives allow us to return to Sauze d’Oulx.
  • a funny downhill, on an easy dirt road, towards Malafosse, passing through Grange Tachier and ending directly in the center of Sauze d’Oulx.
  • a challenging and exciting ride on an amazing and endless single track that, in the past, was the queen of Sauze d’Oulx Super Enduro mtb races. An alternative recommended for experienced mountain bikers, who will appreciate this long and sinuous single track which, in the last part, connects to one of the most famous and representative track of Sauze d’Oulx bike park.

Before loading the bike in the car, we can have a beer together at the bar in front of the chairlift departure.
